Who are you, and why should I care?

Well...if you're here you probably know us. If you know us then you should probably care. If you don't know us then you should get to know us. Then you can decide to care or not. If you don't care, then #bye.

I like to think we are two very intelligent, smart, enjoyable, awesome, classy, fun people. In reality, we are probably just two weirdos who are really lucky to have found each other...because honestly, we are beyond help if we ever hope to be "normal" again.

We started out a very mature couple who talked about sophisticated travel, 5-year-plans, goals, and how perfect our life would be with no pets and well-developed children. Not to say we had sticks up our butts, we laughed and had a ton of fun too. We were just very much "adults" with adult lives and adult views and who are just great at "adulting."  (I recall a story when we were with my best friend and her husband, and she told me how we would eventually always baby talk each other and be sickeningly cutesy weird with each other. J and I both thought, "No way would we ever do that, we're too practical to act like that with each other.") HA! Boy, were we wrong...I don't think either of us know how to talk like adults anymore. We just pretend. So yeah we turned out to be baby-talking weirdos with a dog (if you know me, you know I used to be a total animal-hater) who we make voices for and have full-on conversations with. It's fine, we're fine.

It's amazing how much we have both grown, changed, adapted, and learned since we've been together. If you would have asked us 3 years ago what our lives would look like now, this is probably, definitely not the picture you would have seen us paint. But THAT'S OKAY! Life is about surprises, the unexpected, and curveballs.

Coming soon will, of course, be the story of us. "How we met and the sparks flew instantly, and people would say we're the lucky ones.." da da-da da da-da da...bonus points if you know this reference.
But seriously, how did we meet? What led us to be in the same place at the same time to start a relationship that would turn into "forever?" What do we like to do? What do we think of "insert topic here?" Yadda-yadda?
*Booming voice* All this and more as we begin...THE MCGEE JOURNIES!
